Silent terrorism

From Beautiful Homer Glen, I am reporting on Terrorism. Blowing up buildings and shooting people are not the only way our Country is being attacked by its enemies. There is a very subtle attack on our youth in the form of drugs. We in Homer Glen as other good places to live need to recognize we have a drug problem. “Afghanistan has been the greatest illicit opium producer in the entire world, ahead of Burma (Myanmar) and the “Golden Triangle” since 1992, excluding the year 2001. Afghanistan is the main producer of opium in the “Golden Crescent”. Opium production in Afghanistan has been on the rise since U.S. occupation started in 2001. Based on UNODC data, there has been more opium poppy cultivation in each of the past four growing seasons (2004–2007) than in any one year during Taliban rule. Also, more land is now used for opium in Afghanistan than for coca cultivation in Latin America. In 2007, 92% of the opiates on the world market originated in Afghanistan. This amounts to an export value of about $4 billion, with a quarter being earned by opium farmers and the rest going to district officials, insurgents, warlords, drug traffickers. In the seven years (1994–2000) prior to a Taliban opium ban, the Afghan farmers’ share of gross income from opium was divided among 200,000 families. In addition to opiates, Afghanistan is also the largest producer of hashish in the world.” http://www.rawa.org/temp/runews/2011/01/07/opium-production-in-afghanistan-strong-and-corrupt-as-ever.html

This means every time a hit of Heroine or line of coke is used by American citizens, we are in essences giving the enemy money. The money spent goes to buy bullets and bombs that kill or meme our soldiers. Purchase of these drugs also is detrimental to our society, and causes social problems. These drug dealers need to be treated as terrorists. They are the silent attack that we don’t seem to understand is hurting us more than blowing up buildings.

Bachman canceles Will County Rally

Bachmann Campaign Snubs Top Illinois Tea Party Group
On September 22, 2011, in GOP Candidates, Tea Party Candidates, by Eric Odom (Media Director)
The Will County Tea Party Alliance is probably the most aggressive action minded tea party group in the state of Illinois. Unlike a lot of the “big brand” groups, the Will County Tea Party Alliance is running it’s own candidates for local seats, integrating its members into volunteer campaigns for federal candidates, and working to provide actual action calls for the movement.
In fact, two of the most influential organizers/leaders in Will County are running for office. Tim Kraulidis and Steve Balich are both running for separate seats on the Will County Board. Both are coordinating incredible grassroots efforts to challenge and defeat the local machine in Illinois.
When Michele Bachmann‘s campaign reached out to the Will County alliance, the group was ready to act. Bachmann’s campaign was looking to rally tea partiers in the area and needed a solid group to work the logistics. Illinois Review had the original scoop describing the scenario as it unfolded.
Bachmann’s people had recruited the Will County Tea Party Alliance, led by Steve Balich, Viv Porter, and Tim & Deb Kraulidis, to help them organize the rally and turn out the audience.
Given the size of the Will County organization and their track-record of success, it is not surprising Bachmann asked them to volunteer their time and reputation to make the event happen.
Sadly, Michele Bachmann’s campaign worked with the tea party group to schedule the event and get logistics coordinated, only to then cancel on them four days out. The event was scheduled for Monday, September 26th.
The Will County Tea Party Alliance released the following statement:
The Will County Tea Party Alliance responded to a request by the Bachmann campaign to host a Rally for our area. We were happy and excited to help with this event – as we would with any Presidential Candidate. We are very disappointed that the Bachmann campaign has canceled this event.
Apparently the left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing (Bachmann campaign) and there was a “scheduling conflict.” This in and of itself is unprofessional and speaks volumes of the current state of the Bachmann campaign.
Not good, Bachmann. Not good at all.

Government controll of everything any way

From beautiful Homer Glen disgust of the insane Government intervention in our Free Market system to benefit Obama and Progressive Democrats in the coming elections, is starting to show its ugly head. The President and his cronies get massive campaign donations from the unions. Union workers in Homer Glen as well as the rest of the United States have no say in what happens to the money they have to give to the union. They are fed the union line that is now rejected by most of the rank and file. The union says to vote for Progressive Democrats, because they favor the worker. They forget to tell the part that these Progressives support Sanctuary Cities, and illegal immigration. They don’t talk about illegal’s scabbing the workers of the union that priced themselves out of business. They never mention non- union companies owned by illegal’s or consequence of increased taxes and regulations on business. These Union leaders need to wake up. They are too concerned with keeping the gravy train rolling for everyone at the top. They don’t care about the worker they claim to represent when they make it so hard to compete in the private sector. http://www.thesunnews.com/2011/09/19/2397697/key-elements-of-new-contract-between.html They wonder why the price of cars causes people to buy less and repair more often. The government owns 25% of GM, and is living up to their taking care of their own by forcing this contract. How many more jobs will be lost because of it? http://www.examiner.com/will-county-libertarian-in-chicago/government-controll-by-any-means
