10 Reasons Illinois Bureaucrats (And Their Friends) Are Thankful Today

In Illinois, and many states, it sometimes feels like if anything happens for the good of the people, it’s entirely by accident. On Thanksgiving Day 2015, here are ten reasons why the bureaucrats – and their connected friends in both parties – are loving life.

10. Highly compensated Drivers Ed teachers – Four instructors clear nearly $900,000 in total compensation at Hinsdale High School District 86 (Hinsdale) “earning” base salaries up to $165,003, plus rich benefits. State taxpayers guarantee lifetime pensions.

9. Taxpayer subsidized political bloggers – 70 state agencies paid over $270,000 to a self-described political blogger based in the state capitol (specific recipient was Capitol Fax, corp: Ahead of Our Time Publishing, owner Rich Miller) since 2005. This year was the biggest ever for Capitol Fax with Republican Comptrollers Judy Baar-Topinka and Leslie Munger cutting the checks for $43,000.

8. The double dippers – Mohsin Dada, a school district treasurer in North Shore School District #112, double dipped the Teacher’s Retirement System (TRS) and the Illinois Municipal Retirement System (IMRF) for a combined income of nearly $500,000. Mohsin’s TRS pension exceeds $240,000 and his new salary as a school district treasurer under IMRF is $245,880.

7. The patronage employees with super-flexible responsibilities – Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, the top cop in Illinois, gave $1 million in promotional pay raises to 109 personally picked patronage employees. One of them was promoted to “supervising attorney” and was allowed to move two states away and 507 round-trip miles from the office.

6. The Republican patronage – In rock-ribbed red DuPage County, the top 10 county employees make a total of $2.021 million in pensionable salary. The county has a long history of taxpayer abuse. In 2011, a county engineer earned $340,147 and then retired. In 2014, Nancy Wolfe, a first assistant state’s attorney, earned $248,083, retired, and then was recently rehired by the county board as an ethics consultant.

5. Junior college pre$idents – In Southern Illinois, at small Lewis & Clark College (Godfrey), President Dale Chapman enjoys lavish compensation of $540,000 and a contract through 2019. In 2012, Moraine Valley Community College (Palos Hills) paid President Vernon Crawley a final year salary of $674,210 up from $399,169 the previous year.

4.  $5.2 Billion Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) loophole – There are $5.2 billion in no-bid contracts that avoid competition because of a massive loophole in the Illinois procurement code. The loophole essentially allows politicians to hand out contracts to friends by contracting with another unit of government. Once a contractor is stamped “government approved,” the business flows.

3.  Hailing a cab to school – Fifty northern Illinois school districts spent $71 million on mostly no-bid taxi cab rides in the last eight years. These districts call for a cab on a mostly no-bid basis to shuttle students with disabilities and homeless kids. A large portion of the bill is reimbursed by state taxpayers. The taxi spending is primarily in the northern suburban districts, and 822 of the 870 Illinois school districts get along just fine without taxis.

2.  Substitute teaching for 1 day reaped $1 million in teacher retirement pension – A pair of union lobbyists substitute taught for one day in the public schools, and then stood in line to receive $1 million lifetime state retirement pensions. A state law was passed to stop them. Twenty-four months later, we discovered that the union lobbyists retired and received their pensions.

1. Chicago Boss Rahm Emanuel still receiving “pay to play” – Violating his own executive order (2011) to end “pay-to-play” and “the historic culture of corruption in city hall,” Emanuel received $7 million in campaign cash from 600 city vendors. Since 2002, these vendors have been paid $2 billion. While the city heads toward financial insolvency, Chicago’s elites are lining their pockets with taxpayer money.

But Illinois taxpayers can be thankful for a few things this year.

New Governor Bruce Rauner is strongly standing firm against Democratic super majorities in the legislature on necessary spending reforms.

The U.S. military intended to “destroy every truck” during a second wave of attacks on ISIS-controlled oil tankers in Syria this weekend, Army Col. Steven Warren, spokesman for the U.S. coalition fighting the insurgents said Tuesday, but they ran out of ammunition first.

“The desire was to destroy every single truck there,” Warren said at a news briefing, where he played video of ISIS fuel tankers either being shot by machine gun fire from the air or being bombed, reports CNSNews.com.

All of the trucks were targeted, Warren said, showing a video with “the good shots that you’d like.”

Before hitting the trucks, the American forces dropped leaflets warning that an attack was coming, and as truck drivers are deemed to be non-combatants, they were told to “get out of your trucks now and run away from them” before the airstrikes hit.

But even through the troops ran out of ammunition, Warren praised the attack as “another example of the type of accuracy that we’re capable of here in the coalition, and that 283 fuel trucks were destroyed by American planes during the Sunday action.

“A bomb would have been from an A-10, and then when you saw the guns, you know, the machine gun fire, that could either have been an A-10 or AC-130 Spectre Gunship,” said Warren.

But such attacks are different than in the movies, as machine guns have a certain degree of accuracy.

“The gunfire isn’t laser guided, so it’s individual strike a truck, or two or three trucks; move to the next batch, strike them; move, strike; move, strike,” said Warren. The trucks were not moving after the drivers were warned away, CNS reported.

The United States has now destroyed 399 ISIS tankers, but Warren said there is still “a long way to go,” and disputed Russia’s claims to have attacked and destroyed 500 ISIS fuel tankers last week, saying the actual number was more like 100.

Tonia Khouri Files with Three Times the Amount of Signatures Needed

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
November 23, 2015
Tonia Khouri Files with Three Times the Amount of Signatures Needed
AURORA – Tonia Khouri of Aurora filed her petition signatures for Congress, 11th district in Springfield this morning with approximately 2800 signatures, more than three times the required amount, securing her name on the ballot. Khouri only needed 867 signatures to get her name on the ballot, but Khouri wanted to make sure she received early support from thousands of voters throughout the district.
“I will bring needed change to Washington. Meeting with thousands of residents throughout the district, I heard time and time again that people want change. They want real leadership with political courage to get the big things done. The only way to bring needed change to Washington is to change who’s in Washington.”
“Republican primary voters want to know that the campaign they are supporting is organized and capable of winning,” said Khouri. “Our campaign put together an incredible petition gathering drive, gathering over three times the amount of required signatures. I am grateful for the tremendous help from volunteers and GOP Precinct Committeeman who have been working hard since September. There is no doubt we have the team and the momentum that can win not only in March, but in November, bringing needed change to Washington.”
Aurora Business United Vice President, small business owner and real estate investor, Peter Aguilera was one of Khouri’s earliest supporters who spent countless hours over the past six months campaigning to help gain local support throughout the district. Peter is honored to have done his part to share in the excitement of today’s filing to ensure Khouri’s place on the Republican Primary ballot.
“Bill Foster hasn’t done anything to help spur job growth and create a business friendly climate in Illinois, said Aguilera. “I know Tonia Khouri and her proven leadership fighting for small businesses. Being a small business owner herself, she understands what we are going through when we talk about being overtaxed, over regulated, and overburdened by the federal government. She’s going to Washington to get things done, not just talk about it.
Naperville Township Republican Organization Chairman, Matthew Carlyle offered his congratulations to Tonia Khouri.
“I congratulate Tonia Khouri for gathering approximately 2800 signatures securing her place on March 15, 2016 Republican Primary ballot. The Naperville Township Republican Organization has proudly endorsed Khouri for this important position,” said Carlyle. “I trust that the voters will come to appreciate Khouri’s grassroots approach and common sense ideas that will enhance the quality of life of the citizens of the 11th Congressional District.”

Ted Cruz Gives Epic Speech on Senate Floor Exposing Republican Leadership

Ted Cruz Gives Epic Speech on Senate Floor Exposing Republican Leadership

The video below is of Ted Cruz on the Senate floor two days ago. The senator from Texas (and Republican presidential candidate) exposed the way Washington works: the games that are played, by both parties, and the lack of principles among Republicans. As Mark Levin puts it on Twitter: it’s a real “must watch.”

You won’t see many senators taking on their own party like this, but Cruz isn’t your average politician. He has made a name for himself because of his willingness to stand alone: “Fiat justitia ruat caelum” (“Let justice be done though the heavens fall”).

This speech is a great example of that principled attitude: he’s taking on President Obama, the Democrats and — perhaps even mostly — the GOP’s leadership, who are more interested in playing games than doing what they promised voters they’d do. Note how he exposes John Boehner’s strategy to announce his resignation but to use his remaining weeks in Congress (he’ll be gone in a month) “in order to fund President Obama’s priorities.”

Balich filed Homer Township Property Tax Referendum for the March 15th Ballot

Signatures collected to have tax referendum

Beginning this past spring, Will County Board Member and Homer Glen resident Steve Balich began collecting signatures in hopes of adding a referendum to the upcoming March 15, 2016 primary ballot.

The question that Balich aimed to have placed on the ballot is “Shall each taxing body located partially or wholly within Homer Township be required to see voter approval by referendum prior to increasing its annual total property tax levy? Yes Or No”

According to Balich, who was able to gather 2,033 signatures and drop off the petitions to the Homer Township Administration Building on Tuesday, Nov. 17, it is all about ensuring the people are heard.

“We had over 97 volunteers [helping to gather signatures],” Balich said. “When I went out and got half the signatures, everyone signed it.”

Balich hopes the measure will let residents dictate their taxes to a greater extent and said many are frustrated and feel that a continuously increasing property tax levy is inevitable.

“It is your duty to represent the people,” Balich noted of his effort for the referendum. “It is a representative democracy [to represent them on property taxes].”

Balich went on to say it is a nonpartisan issue, as the matter ultimately impacts everyone.

He likewise pointed out that the referendum is also technically an advisory one — meaning taxing bodies can choose to ignore the outcome, even if a majority of voters say “yes” — but that it will nonetheless demonstrate a collective voice and increase influence on final levy decisions that are made.

British Ad Showing Christians Praying Won’t Run for Fear of ‘Offending Audiences’

The Church of England said on Sunday that it was “bewildered” by the decision of Britain’s major movie theater chains to refuse to run an ad encouraging Christian prayer over concerns the ads could “cause offense.”

The 60-second ad titled “Just Pray” – which shows Christian men and women from all walks of life reciting the Lord’s Prayer – was targeted to run before screenings next month of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

The Digital Cinema Media (DCM) agency, which books ads for the major movie chains in the U.K. including Odeon, Cineworld and Vue, said in a statement reported by the BBC that its policy is to reject political and religious advertising.

“Some advertisements — unintentionally or otherwise — could cause offense to those of differing political persuasions, as well as to those of differing faiths and indeed of no faith,” the statement read.

“In this regard, DCM treats all political or religious beliefs equally,” the agency said.

In a statement Sunday, the Church of England blasted the decision, noting that the cinema chains involved control 80 percent of screens nationwide.

The Rev. Arun Arora, communications director for the Church of England, said that the church is “bewildered by the decision of the cinemas.”

“In one way the decision of the cinemas is just plain silly but the fact that they have insisted upon it makes it rather chilling in terms of limiting free speech. There is still time for the cinemas to change their mind and we would certainly welcome that,” he said.

The ad includes people of all walks of life — including the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, weight lifters, a police officer, a man on a train, refugees and schoolchildren — reciting the Lord’s Prayer, followed by the onscreen message, “Prayer is for everyone #justpray.”

The Church of England said it was hoping to reach the huge audiences forecast for the pre-Christmas opening of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in an effort to encourage prayer.

“The Lord’s Prayer is prayed by billions of people across the globe every day and in this country has been part of everyday life for centuries. Prayer permeates every aspect of our culture from pop songs and requiems to daily assemblies and national commemorations,” the church spokesman said.

“For millions of people in the United Kingdom, prayer is a constant part of their lives whether as part thanksgiving and praise, or as a companion through their darkest hours,” he added.

Combating Radical Islam Defeating Jihadist Terrorism/ Fake Charities

FAKE CHARITIES:  Following the Money of the Islamic Terrorists

A vast global network of private individuals, charities, institutions, banks, and even governments are funding the demise of Western civilization.  A great deal of this network that existed from the 1980’s through the Clinton administration was shut down in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, but under Barack Hussein Obama, the vigilance needed to maintain the pressure on the money sources has weakened considerably.  The result is that we are all in more danger today.  Mr. Obama is openly favorable to Islamic causes, and much evidence exists to support this assertion.

Of particular interest is the fact that Muslim charities have been, and continue to be, a source of money being laundered for terrorism.  Under Islamic law, every Muslim must fulfill “zakat,” which is a charitable tax.  Consider the following items which shed light on this:

The Dark Side of Zakat: Muslim “Charity” in Context :: Middle East Forum
Etymologically related to the notion of “purity,” zakat — paying a portion of one’s wealth to specifically designated recipients — is a way of purifying oneself, on par with prayers (see Koran 9:103).
The problem, however, has to do with who is eligible for this mandatory “charity.” Most schools of Muslim jurisprudence are agreed to eight possible categories of recipients — one of these being those fighting “in the path of Allah,” that is, jihadis, also known as “terrorists.”

Steven Emerson: Combating Radical Islam:
Defeating Jihadist Terrorism :: Middle East Quarterly
Using a technique first developed in the Middle East, these groups often provide American Muslims with much-needed social services such as education, nutrition, and health care so as to win over and manipulate them. This activity is usually justified by reference to the religious duty of paying zakat (the Islamic alms tax). This practice creates substantial good will and much social capital for those Islamist groups who choose to employ it as a cover for collecting monies destined for jihadist groups.

Emerson believes that the Islamist movement in the West continues to strengthen, in large part due to what he refers to as the “cultural jihad,” which provides a congenial environment in which Islamists can flourish. He cites survey data indicating that many Muslim communities in the West sympathize with aspects of the Islamist worldview. These cultural jihadists in turn give moral support to the terrorists.

Charitable Organizations and Terrorist Financing: –
A War on Terror Status-Check – The Washington Institute for Near East Policy
Among the various means of raising, laundering and transferring funds employed by terrorists, the use of charities and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) stands out for a variety of reasons. First, the fraud inherent in the abuse of charities, wherein monies donated to make the world a better place in fact fund death and destruction, is an egregious abuse of people’s trust and a distortion of the Islamic charitable obligation of zakat. Second, the humanitarian nature of most of these charities and service organizations places their offices and employees on the ground in conflict zones of particular interest to terrorist organizations without raising undue suspicion. Third, charities provide an outlet not only for raising significant amounts of money, but, even more critically, are ideal vehicles for laundering and transferring those and other funds. Fourth, charities not only serve as the perfect cover for terrorist operatives they employ, by sending the funds through recipient service organizations they offer simple and extremely secure means of laundering funds and shielding the ultimate end-users from scrutiny.

So we see that funding terrorism is BUILT INTO Islamic charitable giving as a tax paid by every Muslim.  And this is a major problem if we allow tens of thousands of more Muslims to be admitted to the USA, either as immigrants or as refugees.  Letting them in virtually guarantees that money they earn here will find its way into the pipeline destined for the jihadists who want to kill Americans !

All across America, Muslim Student Associations are also a major part of this problem.  These groups operate at more than 100 universities, as per the following report from 2010:

The Muslim Student Association’s Terror Problem | PJ Media
One national student group gearing up for the upcoming academic year is the Muslim Student Association (MSA). Founded in 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and operated as an arm of the Saudi-funded, Muslim Brotherhood-controlled Muslim World League, the MSA is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected Islamic institutions in the country. They have chapters at more than 100 universities and colleges.

But despite its apparent respectability and polished public presentation, the MSA has a dark side.

Since its inception, the MSA has chronically been a vehicle of extremism, hatred, and incitement to violence. Its chapters host a wide variety of extremist speakers and have repeatedly raised funds for Islamic groups that have later been closed by the U.S. government for funding terrorism. For this reason, the MSA was identified in 2004 as one of 27 Islamic charities and groups in the U.S. under investigation by the Senate Finance Committee for terrorist support.

As a result of the long-time institutional extremism, the MSAs have also proved to be a fertile recruiting ground for terrorist organizations, such that a 2007 report on Islamic radicalization published by the New York City Police Department identified the MSA as one of the key “radicalization incubators” for homegrown terrorists (p. 68). This dubious distinction is not without cause.

One of the darkest secrets of the MSA, certainly never advertised by the organization or mentioned in their publications, is a rather lengthy list of top MSA leaders who have been arrested and convicted on a wide array of terrorism charges, ranging from material support of terrorist groups to being actively involved in terrorist plots.

It is important to stress that these are not fringe figures in the MSA organization, but some of its top leaders. These include an MSA national president who was al-Qaeda’s top financier in the U.S., a chapter president who was one of al-Qaeda’s co-founders, and a former MSA faculty advisor who is currently the terrorist most wanted by the U.S. government. Other MSA leaders have been recently identified in several domestic and international terror plots, and some currently are facing terrorism charges.

CONCLUSION:  The Enemy Within

It is time that America comes to grip with the fact that multiculturalism is a massive failure.  Political correctness and false compassion are paving the way for the loss of our sovereign nation.  We are seeing the results of this failure:  Islamic terrorism attacks escalating on a global scale, funded by an ever-expanding base of laundered money from Islamic charities and other institutions.

Our enemies are reconstructing the Ottoman Empire, in the form of a global Caliphate.  We cannot expect our culture to survive intact if we continue to import Islamic individuals into America who have absolutely no intent to assimilate into our way of life.  America has contracepted and aborted so many of our future citizens, and thus contributed to the demographic imbalance that is driving mass migration in the world.  This is national suicide.

We cannot continue to accept the propaganda line that Islam is a religion of peace, when in fact, every bit of evidence we have points to the fact that Islam is actually a very craftily constructed political ideology bent on world domination.  Islam is not compatible with Western Civilization because via colonization, Islam plots to fundamentally transform the West into a society where Sharia Law will ultimately replace our form of constitutionally-based representative self-government.  We cannot permit this to happen.  We must reject, expose, and uproot dangerous Islamic influence in America or our culture will not survive another century.

Recent poll data confirm our assertions:

SHOCK POLL: 51% of US Muslims Want Sharia Law – 25% Okay With Violence Against Infidels – The Gateway Pundit

  • According to the just-released survey of Muslims, a majority (51%) agreed that “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah.” When that question was put to the broader U.S. population, the overwhelming majority held that shariah should not displace the U.S. Constitution (86% to 2%).
  • Even more troubling, is the fact that nearly a quarter of the Muslims polled believed that, “It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.”
  • A full 25% of those polled agreed that “violence against Americans here in the United States can be justified as part of the global jihad.”

Yes indeed, this is a clash of civilizations, and with Western Christianity declining during the last five decades, the challenge before us is even more important.  While we must oppose the Islamization of the West, we also need to strengthen Christianity as well if we are to preserve the Judeo-Christian culture given to us by the Framers of the United States Constitution.

For more evidence, review the Related Reading section below, to further understand how well-funded the terrorist networks are by various institutions, banks, and even governments.  We are up against nothing less than a global conspiracy to overthrow Western Civilization.

The Israel Money Laundering and Terror Financing Prohibition Authority has located 163 organizations. The organization’s investigators are in contact with similar international organizations in the UN and the United States, and their list totals 352 organizations.

Britain’s Charity Commission announced Thursday that it froze bank accounts for Viva Palestina, an aid group which has delivered cash and supplies to Hamas officials in Gaza. In addition, the Commission, responsible for regulating charities in England and Wales, also replaced the group’s trustees with an interim manager.  Viva Palestina was founded by British Member of Parliament George Galloway in January 2009 and has led several humanitarian convoys into Gaza in support of the Hamas-led government. But it has never filed required financial disclosures, the Charity Commission statement said.

In the United States today, a person can donate money to a group that publicly transfers money to Hamas, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, and the donor can take a tax deduction for the gift.  “Viva Palestina raises money in the U.S. to give cash and trucks and other equipment to Hamas,” said U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman, D-CA. “They are still receiving contributions from American donors, and the contributions are tax deductible.”

An Internal Revenue Service audit recommends stripping a New York-based charity of its tax-exempt status after it served as a conduit for donations for a convoy that delivered cash and goods to Hamas officials in Gaza.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has conducted searches in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec as part of an investigation into a Muslim charity organization. Canadian federal auditors accuse the International Relief Fund for the Afflicted and Needy (IRFAN-Canada) of sending nearly $15 million to Hamas, a recognized terrorist organization. On Tuesday, the Canadian government officially added the organization to its list of banned terrorist organizations.

“The purpose of creating the Holy Land Foundation was as a fundraising arm for Hamas,” U.S. District Judge Jorge Solis said at the 2009 sentencing hearing.  HLF had been one of the nation’s largest Muslim charities before being shut down in 2001.

A Saudi charity and Islamic propagation group whose foreign branches were designated as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist organization by the U.S. Treasury seems to have opened a new office in South Florida. The Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report notes that the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has registered as a non-profit in Florida.  The IIRO has branches in Indonesia and the Philippines. Florida corporate records show that the new entity is headed by Adnan Khalil Basha, the group’s Saudi Arabian based Secretary-General, and that it is intended to be the IIRO’s American branch.  The IIRO previously operated in Falls Church, Virginia and was run by Sulaiman bin Ali Al-Ali, who has been described as a wealth and well-connected figure in Saudi Arabia. He also directly solicited donations from the Saudi royal family.

Phony domestic “charities” that funnel money to terrorist organizations may have been hobbled by law enforcement agencies cracking down on their activities — but they still can count on the unwavering support of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).

A federal jury on Monday found Arab Bank liable for knowingly supporting terrorism efforts connected to two dozen attacks in the Middle East, the first time a bank has ever been held liable in a civil suit under a broad anti-terrorism statute.  Arab Bank, a major Middle Eastern bank with $46 billion in assets, was accused of knowingly supporting specific terrorist acts in and around Israel during the second Palestinian uprising of the early 2000s.

A leading European bank faces trial in New York later this year after a federal judge found there is sufficient evidence it knew the funds were being used to support a Palestinian terrorist group.  U.S. District Judge Dora Irizarry denied French banking giant Credit Lyonnais SA’s motion for summary judgment last Thursday, saying “there is a genuine issue” about the bank’s behavior with the accounts in question.  The case has been brought by 200 plaintiffs killed or wounded in more than a dozen Hamas terrorist acts between 2002 and 2004. Credit Lyonnais allowed a Palestinian organization (CBSP) that claimed to be a charity to launder Hamas money used in attacks in Israel in which the plaintiffs and their relatives were victims.

At this point it appears that CBSP, an organization that supplies funds to 13 different Palestinian organizations with apparently clear links to Hamas, including Al-Mujama al-Islami-Gaza (the Islamic Center-Gaza); Al- Jam’iya al-Islamiya-Gaza (the Islamic Society-Gaza); Jam’iyat al-Salah al-Islamiya-Gaza (Al-Salah Islamic Association-Gaza); and the Jam’iyat al-Wafa al-Khiriya-Gaza (Al-Wafa Charitable Society-Gaza), decided to exert pressure on Credit Lyonnais.  Israel declared the CBSP a terrorist financing group in 1997 and the U.S. Treasury designated it a terrorist group in 2003. Also in 2003, the Australian government froze the CBSP’s assets along with the assets of six Hamas leaders.

Surprisingly, the CBSP is still a lawfully registered charity in France.  The Credit Lyonnais litigation is an example of how many banks – particularly those in the United Kingdom and Europe – appear to have failed to take financial oversight of their clients’ accounts seriously, or which have been prepared to flirt with the boundaries of legality in order to make money. Knowing the burden of proof in the UK and Europe is different from the United States, they allegedly continued to house suspicious accounts with seeming indifference to the on-the-ground consequences of their actions.

“I can’t tell you definitively how this will affect the calculus going forward,” Osen told the IPT. “I will say that over the years at least non-U.S. financial institutions have taken a very indifferent view of the consequences of violating U.S. criminal law. The British banks – Lloyds TSB and Standard Chartered – have entered into deferred prosecution agreements for laundering hundreds of millions of dollars for Iran. As a general proposition, the culture of these institutions is either to disregard US law or actively hold it in contempt.

Terrorists also fund their campaigns by more direct channels, specifically through the complacency of Western governments, and more specifically, through the United Nations. In 2002, the United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA) distributed $521.7 million to the Palestinian Authority. Most of this money did not make its way into the pockets of the Palestinian people, as the average Palestinian continued to live on one to two dollars a day. Rather, large portions of this money ended up in the pockets of the Palestinian leaders and their terrorist associates. While the Palestinian Arab refugees constitute 17% of worldwide refugees, they receive more than one third of the annual refugee funds allocated by the UN, with roughly 30% of this $350 million coming from the United States. The staff of UNRWA, the organization that oversees and facilitates the aid to Palestinians, is staffed by so many Hamas members that it is nicknamed the “Hamas Union.” In the UN refugee camps themselves, large amounts of weapons and bomb materials have been found, including facilities to create rockets that can reach major Israeli cities. These weapons have been constructed under the watchful eye of the UN, and with money given to the UN under the guise of aiding impoverished refugees.

The SAAR network consists of more than 100 Muslim think tanks, charities and companies, many of which are linked by overlapping boards of directors, shared offices and the circular movement of money, according to tax forms and federal investigators.  The network, named for Sulaiman Abdul Aziz Rajhi, the patriarch of the Saudi family that funded it, gives to charities, invests in companies and sponsors research, all with a goal of fostering the growth of Islam.  The SAAR Foundation officially dissolved in December 2000, and many of its functions were taken over by another group, Safa Trust, run by many of the same people.

Iran has transferred tens of millions of dollars for the reconstruction of the tunnel system that was destroyed by IDF during Operation Protective Edge.

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has authorized a slew of benefits to keep the home fires burning for families of terrorists killed or injured during the “struggle against Israel” — the euphemism for terror attacks against Israeli citizens, be they civilians or soldiers, men, women or children.

In recent years, in spite of their links with organizations financing terrorism, the Muslim Association of Canada and the Arabian Muslim Association have received grants from the government of Alberta.
