Let no hero be forgotten

Join Hadley students as they collect 1,000 jars of PB&J for troops stationed overseas

Hadley Middle School students are determined to make sure our deployed heroes are not forgotten this Veterans Day.

Between Nov. 6 and 17, students are collecting jars of peanut butter and jelly to send to our troops who are stationed overseas.

“Peanut butter and jelly are two things our soldiers who are fighting in Afghanistan cannot get over there,” said members of the sixth-grade Blue Team who are leading the collection drive.

Their goal is to collect 1,000 jars by Nov. 17 and send them overseas through Operation Care Package, a volunteer not for profit organization that is dedicated to making sure no deployed hero goes without mail.

You can help Hadley’s sixth-grade Blue Team reach its goal by dropping off a jar or two during the school day.

For more information, please contact the school at 708-226-7725.
